Renowned artist HO KAN 霍剛 is having an in-depth conversation with CURATOR Group founder Mr. Vincent Wu.
As ART MONTH makes its much-anticipated return to Hong Kong, coinciding with the grandeur of ART BASEL, we are delighted to announce the participation of the esteemed artist HO KAN in a captivating dialogue with CURATOR GROUP's visionary Founder, Mr. Vincent Wu.
Ho Kan, the abstract artist from Nanjing, China, born in 1932 and shaped by Taiwan, delved into modern art under Li Chun-shan in 1951. In 1957, he co-founded the Ton-Fan Group with avant-garde peers, known as the Eight Great Outlaws. His early works depicted surreal "mental images" with subdued colors, evolving into rational geometric abstractions in Milan. Influenced by Italy, his art exuded subtlety and depth. Transitioning post-1960s, his compositions embraced vibrant hues and minimalist forms, embodying external forces. His oeuvre reflects a harmonious blend of surrealism, geometric abstraction, and cultural influences, resonating with spiritual profundity and artistic evolution.
